Wedding Photos- Part One

The wedding was an amazing success! While I was a full 15 minutes (or so) late, I think that there’s no time like your wedding to make a grand entrance.

Kyle and I couldn’t find any music we both liked to use as a processional so when in doubt, go with a laugh. I walked down the aisle towards my husband-to-be to the artful poetry of Abba’s “Take a Chance on Me.” From what I heard later, it was well received. I had really been looking forward to gauging everyone’s response but as soon as I stepped out of the car and my dad and I were arm in arm, my brain went spacey! Thank goodness for pictures because I might not have had any idea what the ceremony site really even looked like!!

We were extremely luck y to have our friend Heidi Kruger from Vita Bella Photography at the wedding taking photos. She did an amazing job snapping shots of the whole family which, with 7 kids and a ton of distracted adults, was no easy task. Somehow she even managed to get some of me with my eyes open!

The reception at the Bay Club was beautiful and the food and service was AWESOME. Knowing that I am a HUGE bacon fan, they made some melt-in-your-mouth bacon-wrapped scallops that I am still drooling over. We also had Pam from Cake Ball Love create our wedding “cake” with a trio of flavors. We had Vanilla Bean (imagine a soft, shortbread type of flavor), Chocolate Bliss (chocolately deliciousness with chocolate chips) and Spicy Chocolate (chocolate-cinnamon yumminess with some Tabasco). And to add a little more sweets in the mix since it’s a wedding after all, we had an assortment of PubCakes. Those things flew off the table and I actually didn’t even get to really try them all. Lucky for me I know where the shop is located so I shall consider it my duty to sample each and every one. In case it isn’t apparent at this point, it was food heaven!

I’ll break here so that I can gather some more photos and stories to share. Stay tuned for, as Paul Harvey would say, “the rest of the story.” (Except don’t really expect any surprise twists and turns. It was a pretty standard wedding save for the fact that it was OURS which means it was the best! At least that’s what I’m encouraging everyone to tell me.) More to come…

  1. Everything was amazing…the bride was beautiful, the groom was handsome, and the food was spectacular. Everything that you wanted it to be and more. There were even some pictures taken that surprised me.
